The 1920s style decor, including intricate furniture and dark wall paints, creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu, prepared by head chef Julie, features delicious dishes such as lamb cutlets, chicken lettuce taco cups, and roasted Rosemary potatoes. The hosts are welcoming and the happy hour on Fridays is a generous offering. Bar WaT is now one of my favorite places in Ballarat, and I anticipate it will continue to thrive. Fantastic job!
The restaurant is excellent. The food is good, the wine cocktails are great, there are warm fires, friendly staff, and a great host. It was the best night out in Ballarat in ages.
As a visitor from out of town, I stopped by this restaurant for the weekend. The ambiance of the place was very laid-back and cool. The tapas dishes were absolutely delicious, especially the arancini balls and lamb cutlets which were cooked to perfection. The service was excellent as well, and I would definitely recommend this place to others.
Great food and a good wine list. Friendly staff and Priced well for food and drink and the fit out is fun and classy a must see if in the area Bookings are the way to go
The perfect spot for dinner on a Saturday night. The interior is beautiful, from the feature wall of different timbers to the tables made out of doors. It was interesting talking to the staff about the history of the building and you can see how they have tried to capture snippets of what it once was. Their menu is spot on with the best possible choices of tapas. There was only two of us but we wanted to order one of everything! Unfortunately we had to narrow it down so we went with beef carpaccio with chili and lime dressing which was fresh and full of flavour, saganaki cheese with brandy lit on fire for a dramatic look and taste, mini chicken parmas with a sweet relish instead of plain sauce and our favourite dish of Arancini balls which were filled with pumpkin and fetta. Everything was portioned well and we managed to squeeze in a snickers cheesecake which was rich and delicious. Friendly staff who wanted to make sure you had a good time, reasonable prices and great atmosphere! 5/5 from me
