My husband and I really enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. It was a good crowd, a bit noisy but to be expected as every seat in the establishment were occupied. The food was seasoned amazingly. I got the pasta flight. I really enjoyed it and Mt husband got steak and potatoes and it was also very well seasoned and prepared. The prices was good. I give everything a 9.5. ??I've already recommended this place to my cousins and I will be back.
Calandra's is fun to visit primarily for the bakery and the deli. This was my first time at Il Vecchio and while the space is visually attractive, it's very hard to hear. There's a lot of ambient noise. I was there for business meal which did not work very well because of noise. The food is also outrageously overpriced. I had a beet salad which consisted of about two beets, a tablespoon of pistachios and a half a tablespoon of cheese and I was charged $20. I'm unlikely to come back again.
Our waiter was not very good. food came after an hour of waiting at our table. we were so excited for the pasta flights. when it arrived to the table the oil from the pasta started flowing from the wood slab all over the table. when I look down my pants had been effected by the oil. not sure if THAT much oil needs to be going into the pasta. Calamari was A+ though.
My husband and I ate dinner on the patio on a beautiful night. The setting was lovely. As always, the menu selections were plentiful, and our food was delicious. We were there during Happy Hour so our drinks/wine and our meals were half price which was nice. We can't wait to go back.
