St. James Gate Fredericton

Oh my god, the sweet sprout salad on the dine around freddy menu was to die! I don't like salate, never eat it, but was so impressed by the appetizer he said he could have done after exactly that! he asked our waitress if it could be added to the menu, it was just so good! our cocktails were delicious, the music was perfect, the meals and desserts right in front of the charts! so glad that we decided to dinate here cannot stop talking about the place as a whole and this salat. also our waitress and the young man who served/clearly helped were so friendly! we're coming back!

We were in the restaurant for “Dine around Freddy”. the restaurant is stylish and modern. open concept means that it is quite loud. service was excellent. drinks were delicious and good selection of by-the-glass wines. dine around menu was pretty good. both apps were tasty; especially the Brussel salad. the bison divorce cakes were a better choice than the shrimp campi. the noodles floated in oil and garlic was applied with a heavy hand. the Neutella cheesecake was okay. brownie was really good with vanilla high notes, but would have been super with a vanilla bohn hagan blade. only at the side was a musician who was right behind us when we finished our desserts and when he started singing, the noise level was above the tip and we had to go. overall a good night. we will try again food from the regular menu.

It was very busy, also for a Friday evening (because the volume level) but also, service was fast, eating came quite fast and the server checked on us regularly. will definitely come back!

Great apartment eating and service was great, please do not change

First visit the food was excellent justifying the slight premium over similar establishments. Found the music level was more suitable to a sports bar than a better dining experience. Maybe manager should judge by the crowd and by the hour. Will definitely be back!
