However, recently there has been a musty smell in the indoor seating area that reminds us of wet old carpet. We opted to sit outside, where our server, Kyle, provided excellent service. We tried the Spinach Dip for the first time and it was delicious. The Chicken Fajita was decent, but the salsa tasted like it came from a bottle (which we don't expect fresh salsa at pubs). The Veggie Burger, on the other hand, was very good and we rated it an 8 out of 10.
We went for dinner on the outdoor patio and had excellent service from Michelle. The food was consistently good, especially their fries which we love. The patio has a lot of potential but lacks screens for watching sports outside. However, there are plenty of screens available inside. Our bill for two glasses of house wine, a Guinness, and two entrees came to $70 including tax and tip.
This place is a gem in the Downtown core of Milton serving delicious food for decades. Once you go you will return for the food and the impeccable service. As a side note i’m like many fine dining establishments this place Welcomes young children. Which is a welcome sight as they are the future of fine dining.
Had the fish and chips. Fish was ok. A little heavy on the batter but the fries were amazing. Price was good
So, I waited a while to post a review on this place because it’s been 18 years since I was last here. After seeing great food reviews over Covid I decided to give it another try. All I have to say is WOW! Food, service and atmosphere was excellent. I have been back 5 times and tried many menu items, all great. The food was so good, I forgot to take a pic until halfway through. Highly recommend this jewel in Milton. Only downfall, front door needs an update.
