Contribuer aux commentairesDue to the truffle fair in Alba, most of the surrounding restaurants were sold out. Therefore we ventured into the backcountry up in the hills and found an externally unpretentious restaurant. But don’t shy away. The inside is very welcoming and cozy. We enjoyed an adequately sized dinner in four courses, not too much, not too little. Quality of food was oustandig. Advice and service was very personable and enjoyable. Pricing is fair and remunerates the efforts in the kitchen. I marked this restaurant as a personal favourite and will return whenever I/we can.
During the truffle event in Alba we went to an off the beaten path, to the ristorante Tres. It was an amazing experience and the service was great. I am coming back!
If you are staying anywhere near, make this a must visit. Great value for money- the food was really delicious made with love. This is a family run restaurant and husband wife duo, made this a highlight of our trip. Thank you for helping us experienc or first freah truffle experience.
As you can see I was here in 2015 and loved it so much we came back in 2023. I think the second time round was even better. Plus the owners started a winery so before the meal we were able to sample some of their wines. The food and service provided by this restaurant is some of the best i have ever received. They were attentive and insured everything was to our liking. It was so lovely to see the chef come out and visit with diners. I couldnt chose a favourite meal because all 4 courses were to die for. Vegetarians were well catered to. We ate a few michelin star restaurants that could not compare to these guys. My husband's favourite was the Veal/Tuna melted in his mouth and the ragu some of the best he had tasted. The place was full of locals which to me is a sign of excellence. If you get a chance try their Giampiccolo Fava wines. We took home quite a few of their limited quality wines. Next time around I am going to ship home boxes of this magic!!!
