Star Apple Restaurant - Trinity Beach

As a Cairns native, I had heard many great things about Hidden@Yorkeys and it was on my bucket list to visit. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our food and drinks were excellent. Although simple, sometimes this is all that is needed. I especially enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere that allowed patrons to bring their dogs if they wanted.

This restaurant is not recommended for dining with a baby. The owners are rude and unwelcoming towards children. During breakfast, our 7-month-old baby accidentally dropped food on the floor. My wife asked for a cleaning rag, but the owner ignored her request and treated us as if we were invisible. Other families have also had negative experiences at this restaurant and have chosen not to return. Despite wanting to support local businesses, the poor service and attitude towards families make it impossible for us to go back. The breakfast was decent, but the dinner we tried was below expectations. The location and atmosphere are nice, but the owner's behavior towards families is unacceptable.

The ambiance in the garden was lovely. The banana bread with nuts, accompanied by ricotta and honey was delicious. We will definitely be returning for dinner next time.

Eating was amazing, the service friendly and efficient, will go definately again! try the relish, amazing!

Unlike most restaurants in Cairns north Queensland, Hidden,@yorkeys serves yummy food enjoyable with every single bite. Very unusual in this part of the world to be able to choose between flesh dishes, Vegetarian or Vegan. Great ambiance, tropical eating in the open or under cover,...service is unmatched as is the quality of food.
